Issue

Connection to VPN-DC

Resolution

Note: As of July 29, Okta has replaced Duo for most logins. Duo is still used by a few systems, such as VPN-DC.

You will first need to have the Cisco AnyConnect Client installed on your device following these instructions.

Now you need to find the Cisco AnyConnect Mobility Client application and click on it. You can perform a search for it if it isn’t readily available on your desktop. Once you’ve started the AnyConnect application a window like the one below will open up.

  1. Type in vpn-dc.nd.edu into the text box and click the Connect button.
  2. Once you’ve clicked Connect, you will see the screen below popup. You will enter the following:
    1. Username: <NetID Account Name>
    2. Password: <Password>,<Duo Passcode>
Note: Make sure that your NetID account password is separated from the Duo passcode using a comma.
  3. To generate your Duo passcode you will need to open the Duo mobile app on your mobile device and tap the key icon. This is the passcode you will enter into the Password field after your NetID account password, and separated by a comma (,).
