Where do I find the Maple TA application?

Maple TA is a plug-in to Sakai and is found under the Settings menu inside each course. Click on the subtab Manage Tools and scroll to the bottom, to the Plug-In section. When selected, the tool will become visible, along with the other tools, in the left-hand navigation menu.

How is it licensed? Is there a cost to use it?

No, there is no cost to use it. The Maple TA assessment engine is separately licensed by Notre Dame for our entire institution.

What can it do?

The Maple TA assessment engine now supports the question types in the table below. It was originally built to support equation-style questions using variables so that correct answers could be specified by algorithm, and thus auto-graded. STEM disciplines find this invaluable.
