Overview
Use these steps to share your iPad screen in a Zoom meeting from an OIT-supported classroom.

Before You Begin
- To avoid possible Zoom disruptions, do not allow participants to share their screen unless necessary.
- These instructions apply only to sharing an iPad in OIT-supported classrooms.
- After logging into Zoom on the lectern computer, do not log in to zoom.us/share on another device (such as a laptop). This will log you out of the lectern computer.
Share iPad to a Zoom Meeting in the Classroom
- Start the Zoom Meeting
- Log in to the classroom lectern computer.
- Start or join your Zoom meeting.
- Open the Zoom Workplace app on your iPad.
- If prompted, log in using your NetID through SSO/Okta.Open Zoom on the iPad

- Start Screen Sharing
- Tap Share Screen.
- Enter the Zoom Meeting ID when prompted.
- If you do not know your Meeting ID, click the meeting information icon
in the top-left corner of the Zoom window on the lectern computer. - A pop-up will display details such as the Meeting ID, passcode, and invite link.
- Tap Share Screen.

- After you enter the Meeting ID, your iPad joins as a co-host.
- Tap Start Broadcast.Begin Broadcast

- The iPad microphone may turn on automatically. If you leave it on, you will hear audio feedback.
- Tap the red microphone button to turn it off.Turn Off iPad Microphone
- Look for the Screen Broadcast icon to confirm sharing is active.

- Press the iPad Home button to return to your Home screen.
- Open the app you want to share.Share Your iPad Screen
- Stop Sharing
- Return to the Zoom app on your iPad.
- Tap Stop Broadcast.
- This removes the iPad from the meeting.
Additional Notes
- If the iPad powers off, screen sharing will stop and the device will disconnect.
- To prevent this, set Auto-Lock to Never.
- Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock.
- Select Never.
