Overview
End-to-end (E2EE) encryption is available for Zoom Meetings. Account owners and admins can turn it on when extra protection is needed.
Prerequisites
- You must sign in to the Zoom web portal as an account owner or admin.
- All meeting participants must join from the Zoom desktop client, mobile app, or Zoom Rooms.
How to enable end-to-end encryption
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- Go to Account Management > Account Settings.
- Select the Meeting tab.
- In the Security section, turn on End-to-end (E2EE) encryption.
Limitations
When end-to-end encryption is enabled, these features are not available:
- Join before host
- Cloud recording
- Live streaming
- Live transcription
- Breakout Rooms
- Polling
- Zoom Apps
