Overview

While Panopto has the ability to create captions for recordings that are uploaded, some may want to upload captions from services where the recording was originally created. These instructions will show how to upload captions to a Panopto recording.

Uploading captions

1.  Log in with your netID at panopto.nd.edu.

2.  Locate the recording you would like to upload captions to.

3.  Hover your cursor over the recording and select Settings.

4.  Select Captions from the side menu, and then Choose File to select the caption file you would like to upload.

     Panopto supports .srt, .ashx, .vtt, and .dxfp files a captions for videos.

5.  After selection the caption file, click on Upload Caption.
