Before You Begin
By default Zoom disables participant screen sharing due to security concerns but hosts can still share their screen. As the host, you can allow participants to share their screen during a meeting or for all existing and future meetings.
Tip:
-
If you are the host, you should see Host Tools at the bottom of the Zoom window.
-
If you do not see Security or Host Tools, confirm that you are logged in and that you are the host. Then check the More icon.
Allow Participants to Share Screen During a Zoom Meeting
-
In the Zoom meeting, click Security.
-
Under Allow participants to: select Share Screen.
-
Make sure there is a checkmark next to Share Screen.
-
Participants can now share their screen. You can turn this setting on or off at any time during the meeting.
Allow Participants to Share Screen for All Meetings
You can change the default setting in your Zoom account so participants can share their screen in all existing and future meetings.

-
Under Who can share?, select All Participants.

All previous and future meetings will allow participants to share their screen. If you need to disable this for a specific meeting, use the Security button steps above.
