Make sure the scanner is on by checking WIDEsystem, click on the arrow in left hand corner on the taskbar to show all Notification icons. Look at the image below for the WIDEsystem icon
Click on the WIDEsystem icon to check the status.
Open Nextimage to start scanning to USB.
