Enable Zoom Waiting Rooms During Meeting

  1. After starting your meeting, if you are the host of the Zoom meeting, you will see a Security shield button at the bottom of the screen, to the left of the Participants button. *Note - you will only see this Security shield button if you are the host or co-host of the meeting.

  2. If you wish to enable the Waiting room during your meeting, you can do so by clicking the Security button, which will bring up a menu of security related features.

  3. Next, click on the Enable Waiting Room and your Waiting Room will be enabled for the current meeting.

  1. As the host or co-host, you will need to admit users into your meeting using the Participants button, either one-by-one or using the Admit All.

Note: Attendees cannot join a meeting until a host admits them individually from the waiting room. If Waiting room is enabled, the option for attendees to join the meeting before the host arrives is automatically disabled. If you have a participant join AFTER you have allowed people into a meeting from a waiting room, that new participant will have to be allowed in from the waiting room as well.
