Options for Joining a Zoom Meeting
There are several ways to join a Zoom meeting:
Any faculty, staff, or student can join or host a Zoom meeting. You must have the Zoom application on your computer or an app on your mobile device installed before joining a meeting. Zoom can be downloaded from the Zoom website.

Join from a Zoom URL
You may receive an email or calendar invite with a link that starts with https://notredame.zoom.us/j/. Click on this link to join the meeting.
Security Precaution: If the Zoom link does not start with https://notredame.zoom.us and you think it’s hosted by someone at Notre Dame, confirm with the meeting host that it’s the correct link before joining.
If you have not installed Zoom before, you will be prompted to download before joining the meeting or you can download it now.
Join from the Zoom app
1. Open the Zoom application on your device.
2. Click the Join button.
3. Enter the appropriate Meeting ID. If someone sends you the Zoom URL such as: https://notredame.zoom.us/j/1789471xx, the Meeting ID are the numbers at the end of the URL. In this case, 1789471xx is the Meeting ID.
Join from Google Calendar
Zoom has a Google Calendar Integration that helps with scheduling and joining Zoom meetings. For more information on the Google Calendar add-on see, Google Calendar add-on - Zoom Help.
1. Sign into Google Calendar with your Notre Dame NetID.
2. Double-click the scheduled meeting in the calendar.
3. The meeting panel opens. Click the Join Zoom Meeting button.
4. Your Zoom client will open and you will join the meeting. You may be required to authenticate with your Notre Dame NetID and password to claim host.
Join from join.zoom.us
1. Navigate to join.zoom.us
2. Enter the appropriate Meeting ID. If someone sends you the Zoom URL such as: https://notredame.zoom.us/j/1789471xx, the Meeting ID are the numbers at the end of the URL. In this case, 1789471xx is the Meeting ID.
3. Click Join.
