What Is a Zoom Webinar?

Zoom Webinar is a specific product offered by Zoom which allows broadcast of an event to as many as 10,000 attendees based on your license level. Webinar licenses are available in multiple capacities. Those most often used are for 500 or 1,000 participants.  Licenses are available to accommodate up to10,000 participants. A webinar host or panelist may share screen, video, and audio, and attendees may use the chat feature or Q&A options to interact with the host and panelists.

If you are considering Zoom Webinar as opposed to Zoom Meetings, we encourage you to first view the Zoom Meeting and Webinar comparison. Note: Zoom Webinars do not have breakout rooms and attendees cannot speak in the session.

Zoom Meetings can, without additional cost, be configured and managed to replicate many of the features offered by the Webinar product. For more information on setting up a Zoom Meeting for a large audience see -
