Need an Extension or Assistance?

If you need to keep the loaner longer than originally requested, contact the Service Desk as soon as possible and before your scheduled return date. Extensions are subject to availability, as the device may already be reserved for another user.

Your Responsibilities While Using a Loaner

The loaner device remains the property of the University of Notre Dame. While the equipment is assigned to you, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the device and any accessories provided with it.

All loaner devices are inspected when they are returned.

Data on Loaner Devices

Do not rely on a loaner computer as the only location for important files. You are responsible for ensuring that important data is stored in an appropriate University-approved storage location. All user data will be removed from the device after it is returned. Service Des cannot guarantee recovery of information left on a returned loaner device.

Lost, Stolen, Damaged, or Unreturned Equipment

Cost responsibility

A valid credit card is required at checkout. Students may be charged for replacement or repair costs associated with equipment that is lost, stolen, damaged, or not returned.
