Question

I previously had only Okta Verify or Google Authenticator enrolled, and I am now being required to enroll a phone option.  How do I do this?

Context

If you only had a Push option enrolled previously, when you next login to a ND service you will be required to enroll a phone option. 

Answer

Follow the steps below to complete the process.

  1. When you login you'll see a screen similar to the following. Click Set up


  2. Select the method you prefer to use (SMS or Voice call), the appropriate country for your phone, and type the phone number for the device. Then click Request a code



  3. Your phone will receive a text message or phone call with a 6-digit verification code.  Type the code into the verification field on your screen and click Verify.

  4. You will then be given the option to enroll additional factors. We recommend you enroll as many options as you have available by clicking Set up and following the instructions that appear. You can then click Finish when you complete enrollment.

  5. You will then be logged on to whatever ND service you were attempting to access.
