Question: How to configure a Google Group to send a confirmation email

Context: Google Groups, Class Lists, 

Answer:

  1. Go to My Groups: https://groups.google.com/a/nd.edu/forum/#!myforums
  2. Click the blue Manage button under the name of the group you want a confirmation message
  3. Open the Settings category and click on Email Options
  4. In the Auto replies section, check the box for Enable auto-reply message for members inside the organization.
  5. In the text box that appears, type your preferred confirmation message.
  6. Click the blue Save button at the top of the page.
