Issue: User needs to transfer ownership of a calendar event

Context: Google Calendar

Resolution:

Transfer an event to a calendar you don't own

If you created an event, you can make someone else its owner. Once someone else is the owner, they can change any of the event details.

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. See the event details by clicking the event you want to change.
    • In Agenda or Monthly view, click the event, then Edit Event.
    • In Day, Week, or 4 Days view, click the event name.
  3. At the top, click the More actions drop-down and then Change owner.
  4. Enter a new owner and a message to send them.
  5. Click Change owner.
  6. The new owner will get an an email with a link. Until the new owner accepts ownership, you'll be the event owner.
