How to use polls in a Zoom meeting?

Answer

Activate Polling

  1. Log into your My Meeting Settings in Zoom: https://zoom.us/profile/setting
  2. Click on the Settings in the Meeting Section

  3. Scroll down until you see Polling. Turn on that option.

  4. Your settings will be update. 

Update your Zoom software

  1. Open your Zoom client on your Mac or PC
  2. Click the green status icon and select Check for updates
  3. The Zoom software will download a new version. This make take a few minutes.
  4. Click the blue Update Now button in the new window. Your Zoom software will relaunch.

You are now ready to use polling in your Zoom meeting!

A poll can have up to 10 questions and up to 8 choices in each question. You can have many polls in each meeting. 

  1. Schedule your Zoom meeting
  2. Log into your My Meetings list in Zoom: https://zoom.us/meeting
  3. Find the meeting in which you would like to have a poll, Click My Meeting
  4. At the bottom, click the Add button in the Poll section

  5. In the lightbox, enter a title for your poll.

  6. Click the blue + Add a Question button, filling out the question, choosing the type (Single Choice or Multiple Choice) and the possible answers for each, minimum 2.

Once you are in your meeting

  1. Click the polling button on the bottom menu

  2. Choose your poll by clicking the
  3. Click the blue Launch Polling

    Your poll will have a build in counter going.

  4. When you are ready, end your poll by clicking the blue End Polling button at the bottom.
  5. You can share results with participants by clicking the blue Share Results button
