Google also provides instructions for almost any mobile device. From your mobile device's Web browser, just visit m.google.com and follow the on-screen instructions. Remember - your username is your Notre Dame email address (e.g., asmith@nd.edu)!
Some versions of Android differ slightly from what is presented below. These instructions should work for most versions of Android with only slight differences.
Add your Google Apps account to your device. To use the native Google Apps mail, contacts, and calendar apps on your Android, you need to sign in to your Google Apps account. You only have to do this once:
- Open the Settings app and go to the Accounts section
- Tap Add account
- Select Google
- Enter your NetID email address, formatted like NetID@nd.edu
- Tap Next
- Tap Accept
- Enter your NetID (without the @nd.edu part) and your password
-
Tap LOGIN
- Complete Two-Step Login when prompted to complete that process.
- Choose if you want to back up your mobile device data with Google.
- Tap Next
- Your account is now set up and will display as Google
- Tap Google
- Tap your email address under Accounts
- Select what you want to sync with your mobile device.
You can now use Google Apps from your Android. Just launch Gmail, Google Calendar, or whichever app you want to use, from your device's home or applications screen.
To access other Google Apps services (e.g., Docs) or other Google services, visit m.google.com in your mobile browser. Remember that your username for all Google Apps services is yournetid@nd.edu (e.g., asmith@nd.edu).
