Question: How do I connect to the eduroam wireless network with a Macintosh computer?

Answer:

  1. On your Mac, visit eduroam.nd.edu with your preferred browser
  2. The page should identify your operating system. Click JoinNow
eduroam page that identifies your device
  3. The eduroam utility will be automatically downloaded (your browser may ask for permission).
  4. Once the file is downloaded, select Open
    choose Open
  5. Double-click on WIFI_JoinNow_Wrapper to launch the eduroam connection utility

  6. If you are prompted "Are you sure you want to open it", go ahead and click Open

  7. Follow the app instructions: enter your netid@nd.edu, and password, then click Next

  8. Type your computer password (possibly different from your netid password) to begin the configuration of your Mac:

  9. This utility will proceed to set up the eduroam authentication and configuration
  10. As the utility runs, several 'Trusted Certificates' will be added to your device. NB: you may be prompted regarding certificates several times (depending on the current configuration of your Mac). Continue entering your password and clicking OK, or click Always allow to do them all at once

  11. When the utility finishes, you have successfully joined the eduroam wifi network

  12. (You can double-check your wifi settings for a connection to eduroam to ensure you've finished successfully)
