Faculty, staff, and students can install Zoom on personal and institution-owned computers. Zoom is already installed on most Notre Dame-managed computers.

Note: Most lectern computers have Zoom installed. Classrooms with Zoom Room hardware do not have the Zoom client installed because the AV system in those rooms can place calls directly. For more information, see Quick Start Guide for Registrar Zoom Room Classrooms).

Zoom is also available for iOS and Android tablets and smartphones. Chrome, Edge, and Firefox browser extensions are also available to make scheduling meetings faster and easier.

Install the Zoom Client on Your PC or Mac

Installing from this source gives you the latest available version and the default client settings.

  1. Go to https://notredame.zoom.us/download.
  2. Under Zoom Workplace desktop app, click Download.
  3. Open the downloaded file.
  4. Follow the setup instructions.

Install the Zoom App on Your iPad or iPhone

  1. Click here, open the Apple App Store on your device, or visit https://notredame.zoom.us/download.
  2. Search for Zoom Workplace.
    • Note: Searching for zoom returns many apps that are not affiliated with zoom.us.
  3. Follow the usual steps to install a new app on your iPad or iPhone.

Install the Zoom App on Your Android Tablet or Phone

  1. Click here, open the Google Play Store, or visit https://notredame.zoom.us/download.
  2. Search for Zoom Workplace.
    • Note: Searching for zoom returns many apps that are not affiliated with zoom.us.
  3. Follow the usual steps to install a new app on your Android tablet or phone.

Install the Zoom Browser Extensions

  1. Go to https://notredame.zoom.us/download
  2. Scroll down to Zoom Extension for Browsers.
  3. Click the button for Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, then follow the instructions. Zoom download page section titled "Zoom Extension for Browsers" with download buttons for Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-ons, and Firefox Add-ons.
