Question: How do I manually install the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client on Linux?

Context: Cisco AnyConnect on Linux

Answer: Follow these steps

  1. Download the shell install script HERE
  2. Open a terminal and change directory to where the file downloaded to
  3. Type the command: sudo chmod a+x vpnsetup.sh press return or enter on your keyboard
  4. Type the command: sudo ./vpnsetup.sh press return or enter and you should see something similar to the following



  5. Once installed, locate the Cisco AnyConnect Client application in your Graphical User Interface and run it.
  6. Fill in the Connect to: box with vpnaccess.nd.edu and click the Connect button
  7. Fill in your username and password and click the Connect button
