How Much Printing Credit Do I Get?
Undergraduate Students
You receive $20 per academic year:
- $10 is added one week before Fall classes begin.
- $10 more is added after winter break.
Graduate Students
You receive $35 per academic year, in two steps:
- $10 is added one week before Fall classes begin.
- Two weeks later, an extra $25 is added to bring your total to $35.
Faculty and Staff
You receive $10 per year, added in August just before the Fall semester starts.
What Happens When I’m New or My Status Changes?
When your NetID is first created, you’ll start with $10 in printing credit.
If you're an undergraduate student who becomes a graduate student over the summer, you’ll keep your undergraduate quota until Fall updates are finalized.
Special Quota for Mendoza and Law School Students
Students in the Mendoza College of Business and the Law School receive additional printing credit from their colleges.
This additional credit is only available on printers managed by Mendoza or the Law School.
Can I Add More Printing Credit?
Yes. If you run out of printing credit, you have the following options:
- Individuals can use Domer Dollars to purchase additional credit. [Insert instructions or link here]

What Are the Printing Costs?

When you log into a PrintND printer, your starting balance may show as $10. This is the system-wide default before any additional allocations are applied.
When Does Credit Reset?
The PrintND system follows this pattern every academic year:
- One week before classes begin: All students’ printing credit is reset to $10.
- Two weeks later: Graduate students receive an extra $25, bringing their total to $35.
- After winter break: Undergraduate students receive an additional $10, bringing their total to $20.
Does My Credit Roll Over?
No. Unused PrintND dollars do not roll over to the next academic year.
Refunds are not available for unused credit.
How Can I Check My Balance?
You can check your printing balance in two ways:
- After logging in at a PrintND printer, your balance will display on the screen.
- Visit print.nd.edu, log in, and look for your balance under Payment Method in the lower-left corner.
What If Something Goes Wrong with My Print Job?
If your print job fails due to a printer issue, lost pages, or torn sheets, you can request a refund.
To request a refund:
- Call the Service Desk at 574-631-8111, or
- Fill out the PrintND Quota Refund Request Form.
