Question: How do I get a license to install and use Adobe Creative Cloud?
Context:
- Students can access Adobe applications in OIT Computer Labs.
- Faculty and Staff can follow the instructions below at any time to access Notre Dame's enterprise licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud.
Answer:
High Level Process
- Step 1: Login with your Notre Dame enterprise account (NetID and password) for the first time at the Adobe opt in site. This only needs to be done one time.
- Step 2: Download Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application and Sign In with Your Notre Dame Account
- Step 3: Download any other Adobe apps via the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application
Step 1: Login with your Notre Dame enterprise account for the first time on Adobe's website
- Go to the Adobe opt in site
- If prompted, login with your NetID and password
- If needed, respond to the two step authentication prompt
- Your enterprise Adobe account will be automatically created, and you will be redirected to the instructions below for downloading and installing the software.
- If this is the first time you've done the opt-in process, you will receive an email from Adobe indicating you now have access to All Apps.
Note: It may take 2-4 hours for Adobe to grant access to your account.
Step 2: Download Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application and Sign In with Your Notre Dame Account
Note: Installing this software may require Admin rights on your machine. If you do not have admin rights, please contact the Help Desk at 574-631-8111 or by chat at servicenow.nd.edu for assistance.
- Visit adobe.com
- Click Sign In in the upper right corner of the screen
- Enter "@nd.edu" in the email address field and click Continue.
- Do NOT use the Google, Apple or Facebook login options (if shown), as those will not work with the ND license agreement.

- Log in using your NetID and password. If needed, respond to the two step authentication prompt.
- Click in the upper right corner to access a list of Web Apps & Services. Select Creative Cloud.
- A new tab will open with the URL creativecloud.adobe.com. In the upper right corner of the screen, you will see a box containing your name and Adobe plan information. Click Install Creative Cloud App.
- Run the file that downloaded to install the Creative Cloud app
- Click the Creative Cloud icon, located in the taskbar (Windows) or Apple menu bar (Mac OS), to open the Creative Cloud desktop app.
- Click the profile icon and choose Sign in. If the only option you have is Sign Out, choose to Sign Out, and then choose to Sign In again.
- At the sign in screen, enter "@nd.edu" in the email address field and click Continue.
- Enter your NetID and password and click Sign in

13. You can now use the desired Adobe Creative Cloud application.
Step 3: Download any other Adobe apps via the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application
After you’ve signed successfully installed the software and logged in, you can download and install Adobe applications that are part of the Creative Cloud suite from within the Creative Cloud desktop application by using the All Apps menu and choosing Install next to any of those applications.
