What is a Webinar on Zoom?
A Webinar is a seminar conducted over the Internet. In Zoom, webinars have three different participant types: the Host, Panelists, and Attendees. The Host and Panelists are full participants in the meeting. They can view and send video, screen share, annotate, etc. You can invite up to 50 Panelists to the webinar. Attendees will see the presenter(s) and any shared screen. Attendees can submit questions via chat which can be answered live or via chat. Webinars can be live streamed on Youtube Live and Facebook Live and/or recorded. The amount of attendees available to join is dependent on the package purchased.
You can host webinars with or without registrations. You can also access reports on your webinar's attendance.
The OIT recommends consulting with ND Studios if you anticipate more than 100 viewers. ND Studios offers professional production services including studio space, engineers, and top of the line audio and video production. ND Studios is a fee based service. Email: Studios@nd.edu Phone:574-631-2200
