Question: How do I configure speed dials on my VoIP phone?

Context: VoIP desktop phone

Cause: Configuration issue

Answer:

To configure speed dials

  1. Log in to phone.nd.edu.
  2. Select the Phone tab
  3. From the Phone Settings menu, select Speed Dials.
  4. Select Add New Speed Dials.
  5. In the number field, enter the phone number you wish to save as a speed dial.

    Note: Enter the phone number exactly as you would dial it on the phone with no dashes or spaces and an 8 prefix for off-campus numbers.

  6. Enter a name for the speed dial in the label field.
  7. If necessary, repeat steps 5-6 to configure additional speed dials you wish to set. You can create up to 99 speed dials for your phone.
  8. Click the Save button when you are done.
  9. Log out when done with phone.nd.edu.


To use speed dial on your phone:

  1. On your phone, press the speed dial number associated with the person you wish to call.
  2. Press the AbbrDial softkey to place the call.
