How to configure a Google Group to send a confirmation email and auto-reply

Only Group Owners and Group Managers can adjust this setting
Classic Groups Interface
- Go to My Groups: https://groups.google.com/a/nd.edu/forum/#!myforums
- Click the blue Manage button under the name of the group you want a confirmation message
- Open the Settings category and click on Email Options
- In the Auto replies section, check the box for Enable auto-reply message for members inside the organization.
- You may select another option depending on the group
- In the text box that appears, type your preferred confirmation message.
- Click the blue Save button at the top of the page.
New Groups Interface
- Go to My Groups: https://groups.google.com/a/nd.edu/forum/#!myforums
- Click the name of the group you want a confirmation message
- Click Group Settings and in the expanded list, click Email options
- For the section Auto replies, check the box for Enable auto-reply to members inside the organization
- You may select another option depending on the group
- Click the Save changes button at the bottom
